Griffith Police are seeking public assistance following an incident in Coolah Street on Tuesday night.
A 26-year-old Griffith man was walking along the footpath in Coolah Street when he was allegedly approached by three males described by police as being Islander in appearance.
Police allege the man was assaulted by the males, rendering him unconscious, and had his mobile phone and wallet stolen. He was later treated at Griffith Base Hospital, where he received four stitches to his lip and was released.
Anybody who was in the area at the time and witnessed the incident or saw something suspicious is urged to contact Griffith Detectives or Crime Stoppers on 1300 333 000.
